Why Seasoned Wood Matters
- Lights without a fight — low moisture means fewer fire starters and less smoke.
- Cleaner burn — far less creosote buildup in your chimney.
- More heat per cord — energy goes into warming your home, not boiling off water.
- Ready when you are — no waiting months for wood to dry in your yard.
- Delivered, not hauled — skip the trailer rentals and repeat trips.
- Built for Island winters — steady overnight heat for wood stoves and inserts.
How Ordering Works
- Reach out — call or text (236) 801-1686, or send an email with your address and cord count.
- We confirm — we give you the total, note any delivery fee, and set a day that works.
- We deliver — our truck arrives within the week and drops your cords where you want them.
- You stay warm — stack it, cover it and light your first fire the same evening.
Frequently Asked Questions
How soon can you deliver firewood in the Comox Valley?
We aim for week-of delivery whenever our route allows. Call or text early in the week and we will usually have your cords dropped within a few days.
Is your firewood actually seasoned and ready to burn?
Yes. Everything we deliver has been split and dried so it lights easily and burns clean in a wood stove, fireplace or fire pit.
Which communities do you deliver to?
We cover the core Comox Valley — Courtenay, Comox, Cumberland, Black Creek and Fanny Bay — plus Royston, Union Bay, Merville, Oyster River and the Mount Washington corridor when conditions allow.
What does a cord cost?
A single cord is $450 and two cords are $875. Delivery is included to most nearby addresses; more distant or hard-to-reach properties may have a small fee based on the drive.
What kind of wood do you carry?
Mostly Douglas fir and hemlock, with alder and maple mixed in when we have it. Fir is our workhorse for steady overnight heat on damp Island evenings.
Do you stack the wood or just drop it?
A standard delivery is a tidy dump in your driveway or beside your shed. If you need it stacked, mention it when you book and we will let you know what we can arrange.
How do I pay?
We keep it simple — e-transfer, cash or card on delivery. We will confirm the total before we load the truck so there are no surprises.
